Before testing
Workload & measurement boundary
Define the task, input data and valid outputs. State whether energy is measured at the CPU package, host, rack or facility; use the same boundary throughout.
Repeatability & trade-offs
Record configuration, repeated runs, run order and variability. Include performance regressions, resource overhead and failures in the result.
Operational control & next steps
Agree on monitoring, stop conditions and baseline recovery. Review the whole result before deciding whether to expand, revise or stop the evaluation.
